Wedding Day Questionnaire

This questionnaire is just a way for me to get to know the details of your wedding day so I can capture it exactly how you’ve envisioned. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the answers yet—that’s totally okay! Just fill in what you know, and let me know as you figure out the rest. I’m here to help along the way. I am happy to provide sample timelines, help plan your day if you don’t have a wedding planner, or work alongside your planner to curate a timeline that fits your needs perfectly!

I love mixing traditional, candid, and dreamy/romantic moments in every gallery. But if there’s a particular vibe you’re drawn to for your photos, I’d love to know!

Tip: For the bride and her bridesmaids, I recommend at least 3 hours total so you don’t feel rushed (but please ask your HMUA how long it will take ◡̈ ). I usually arrive about 45 minutes before you start getting into your dress to capture details like shoes, dress, florals, invitations, rings, and other special touches (pro-tip: have your florals ready when I arrive). After that, we’ll capture final moments like your mom or maid of honor buttoning your dress, putting on earrings or perfume, and some fun moments with your bridesmaids. Scheduling at least 30 minutes for these shots is ideal.

Getting ready tip: Choose rooms with lots of natural light—it makes your photos soft and glowing!

(Please include: number of bridesmaids, number of groomsmen, as well as if you will have any junior bridesmaids/groomsmen, flower girl(s), ring bearer, etc.)

A first look can help calm nerves, create more time for couples, family, and wedding party portraits, and allow you to enjoy your ceremony and reception without feeling rushed (because most of the formal photos will already be done!) Of course, a traditional timeline works beautifully too; and there's something so special about seeing each other for the first time when you walk down the aisle. Ultimately, choose whatever feels right for your you!

To help us capture all the important family combinations without confusion, please include ALL groupings and list exactly who should be in each group. For example: Bride & groom with parents; bride and groom with grandparents; bride and groom with siblings; bride and groom with individual siblings. Please provide names whenever possible—this helps me avoid saying “hey, you!” and ensures nothing is missed.

Please keep in mind: If you aren’t doing a first look, you’ll typically need 1 to 1 /12 hours after the ceremony for wedding party portraits, couple portraits, and family photos (depending on how many are in your wedding party and family). These photos happen while your guests are traveling to the reception and enjoying "cocktail hour." If doing a first look and photos earlier in the day, the bride and groom typically head straight to the reception after the ceremony. Please also take into account travel time to reception.
